Jonah Thompson Native American Flutes
Jonah Thompson is Dine' and grew up on the Navajo reservation in Kayenta, Arizona.  He belongs to the Coyote Pass and Redhouse of the Navajo people.

  Flutemaking was taught to him by his Uncle.  Jonah attends many pow-wows and art markets around the Southwest to sell and share his flutes and stories with people.  These include the Gallup ceremonial. Santa Fe Art Exposition, Gathering of Nations Pow-wow, the Southern California Powwow, and more...

  Jonah's philosophy of flutemaking is that the flute was given to the First People as a Gift.  The Music to be shared in prayer, in friendship, and in recreation.
These 6 hole flutes are crafted from Ponderosa Pine.  They are in the key of A minor and tuned to the pentatonic scale.  They measure 19 inches long and are stained in  colors of walnut, light cherry and red oak.  Carved fetishes include: Horse, Turtle, Buffalo, Eagle and Bear.
